City Signs

City signs interest me. They come in all shapes and sizes. Businesses try to have them eye-catching, to get our attention.  Sometimes they do, but other times they are just funny and tacky, like the construction company's sign that says, " we don't rent pigs."  I guess it did work in someway, it made me do a double take.

We were in Houston last week for band practice ( Janet and I both play with the Houston Symphonic Band), and I happened upon these signs. I know don't why, but I like them. Restaurant signs, I guess I was hungry.

Even in the Hospital

We were at the hospital this last week end to see our newest grandson. While I was there, I managed to snap off a few pictures. Yes, even in a hospital. Got some of my grandson too!

Seeing and Not Seeing

I am finding that as I look around there many photos just waiting to happen. The trick is seeing them. I find also, that I need my little camera with me all the time. It's hard to take the photo with no camera around. I took 3 of these just sitting in my truck, and one at the hospital, Saturday, when I checked up on Bethany, Will, and of course, Alex, the newest grandson.

A Lazy Saturday

We went to Moody Gardens, last Saturday, in Galveston. It was a rainy, foggy day. I got to see an Imax 3D movie and experience Happy Feet in 4D. The rain forest interesting in a mystical sort of way, with strange plants, dripping water, and bugs that bite, and snake that are slimy. Naturally we took in the aquarium also, sharks, sea bass, seals, giant otter, and my favorite, the string ray.
